What is fmx?

fmx is an international specialty conference for the digital industry to discuss trends and technologies, past achievements and upcoming challenges. It's a place to meet decision-makers, learn about the latest developments, do business and recruit talent. In the past twelve years, its ambitious and challenging program has made fmx the stand out European event for the creation, production and distribution of digital entertainment, believable characters and interactive environments.

How many people attended fmx/07?

fmx/07 had more visitors than ever! About 6000 visitors from more than 50 countries experienced numerous legends of the profession as well as future technologies or current innovations presented by companies working on the front line of visual imaging such as Disney, Dreamworks, Electronic Arts, Industrial Light+Magic, Pixar and Sony Pictures Imageworks.
In addition, about 80 partner companies were present in fmx/forum offering face-to-face insights into the latest tools and coming releases.

Who is organizing fmx/08?

fmx/08 is organized by the Institute of Animation, Visual Effects and Digital Postproduction of Filmakademie Baden-
Wuerttemberg. The Filmakademie, which was founded in 1991, is one of the most prestigious film school in Germany and offers practical education in the areas of film, television and new media to more than 500 students. The Institute for Animation is run by Prof. Thomas Haegele who founded fmx in 1994.
