At animago AWARD 2006, DIGITAL PRODCUTION is extending its successful cooperation with fmx/06. The best entries in the most important competition for Digital Content Creation (DCC) in German-Speaking Europe will be presented on Friday, May 05 at 20:00. The best productions in the categories Still, Animation, Compositing, Interactive, Games and Mobile Entertainment will be awarded prizes at a evening ceremony. The animago-AWARD will be followed by the famous networking party - including free drinks.

The 8th flashconference presents flash programming and new flash features as well as glimpses into effects, film and cinema, commercials and video, business applications, computer arts, realtime, programming, and more.

You can meet first time speakers like Nina Paley, a famous cartoonist and animator from New York, Gary Stasiuk, a realtime actionscript programmer from Vancover, Gerd Hilgemann, one of the most famous specialists concerning video on the flash platform, Jörn Buchholz, developer of a flash based interactive map system, Ron Jagodzinkski, with an innovative pyhsical user interface for flashfilm control, Dirk Primbs, microsoft evangelist, talking about alternatives on dynamic web concepts within the browser - based on WPF and XML. Well known members of the German flash community such as Holger Eggert, Matthias Kannengießer, Mario Klingemann, André Michelle and some more will also be taking part! Continuing the successful cooperation the fmx/06 is hosting the sagasnet Developing Interactive Narrative Content Seminar (May 1 – May 7 2006) again.

Final fmx/06 Party

Within fmx/conference we will have a Focus on Asia-Special with presentations and screenings of Indian Animation- and Visual Effect- companies. Following this day, the official final fmx party will take place in Zapata. The legendary Heidelberger resident DJs, KeralaBoy and Pinju offer a taster for the 'Bombay Boogie Night ', taking place during the 3rd Indian Film Festival, Bollywood and beyond ' (12 -16 July 2006) in Stuttgart. The DJs are well-known for enticing the party guests with Bollywood, Bhangra, Desi Hip Hop and Masala Soul and making it a night to remember. We can look forward to many surprises...

The sagasnet Developing Interactive Narrative Content Seminar will bring together professionals from all over Europe engaged in the development of interactive entertainment, providing a unique networking platform. During this year’s seminar nine pre-selected projects will be provided with a variety of face-to-face consulting sessions (a.o. on financing, project management, marketing, story structure, interactivity design, interface design).

The external high-level and the diverse input brought to the projects during the early development phase is aimed at supporting the creative teams dealing with the complex development and production process of interactive applications.
